• Community activity: Deals you post, votes you cast, comments you submit, and your community trust score are stored and may be displayed publicly under your alias.
• Usage data: We may collect anonymised information about how pages are accessed (e.g. page views, error rates) to improve the platform. This data is not linked to individual user identities.
• Authentication tokens: We use Supabase Auth for secure sign-in. Authentication tokens are stored in your browser and used to identify your session. We do not store passwords in plain text.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the PriceMatch service.
• To display your community activity under your chosen alias.
• To send service-related notifications (e.g. replies to your deals or comments), subject to your notification preferences.
• To detect and prevent abuse, spam, and policy violations.
• To improve the platform based on anonymised usage patterns.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

Public Information

The following information is publicly visible on PriceMatch:

• Your chosen alias (display name)
• Deals you have posted
• Comments you have made
• Your community trust score and activity level

Your email address is never displayed publicly. Your real name is never required or displayed.

Data Retention

We retain account and activity data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will anonymise or remove your personal data from active systems within a reasonable period, subject to any legal obligations. Anonymised community data (e.g. deal history) may be retained for platform integrity purposes.

Cookies and Local Storage

PriceMatch uses browser storage (cookies and localStorage/sessionStorage) to:

• Maintain your login session
• Remember your preferences
• Improve navigation experience

We do not use third-party tracking cookies for advertising purposes.
